We’re beginning a new series as we continue in the Gospel of John called “Far from the Shallow.” It’s all about how Jesus invites us to live with deeper, life-changing faith. Going deeper in our faith is not just about exploring the complex. It’s about how to understand the complex things of the faith in simpler ways so we can live them. There’s real danger in remaining in the shallow and never learning to swim in the deep end – we never learn to take risks and we never learn to become resilient. Likewise, we miss the deeper roots and the connections that come from facing the tough things together.
