WORSHIP MINISTRY

In Romans 12:1-2 we are told to offer our bodies as “living sacrifices” and that this is our true act of worship. Therefore, everything that we do can (and should) be an act of worship to God, from doing the dishes, to serving the poor, to telling someone about what God has done in our lives.

 

Music, then, is only one of the many ways we can express worship to God, but it is one that is special, and one in which we are called to participate. Psalm 81 opens with:

 

“Sing for joy to God our strength;

Shout in triumph to the God of Jacob.

Lift up a song—play the tambourine,

the melodious lyre, and the harp.”

 

Here at Harvest, even though we don’t have a lyre or a harp (although that would be pretty awesome!), we join together weekly to sing praises and express our love and gratitude to God. I want to invite you to join us! We are very relaxed and welcoming, so come as you are.
