HOMELESS MINISTRY

The homeless ministry provides food and fellowship the third Sunday of every month at Island Park in Springfield.  We serve anywhere from 15 to 40 men and women, rain or shine with many “regulars.”  We have been able to reach out in prayer and we try to serve comfort foods which have been much appreciated.  We also hand out clothes, personal items, and even a few Bibles on occasion.  Some of our attenders have even asked if they could say grace before the meal is served.

We also serve in the Food For Lane County Dining Room. Harvest provides a team of people to serve and help in the dining room the 4th Monday of each month!

In addition to serving outside the church we also regularly have the joy of serving people right from our church office through our food pantry. People in the community are able to visit once a month and through donations we are able to provide them with food staples that get them through tough times.

What a privilege to serve in this ministry!!
